There are appeal avenues available to you if your visa has been rejected by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection. A decision on a visa application is treated as an administrative decision and at first instance, most appeal matters are heard by the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT). The time for the AAT to reach a resolution can vary and may take anywhere between a month to a year.
